 Pro-Am II black
|
Don't be deceived by the price of these shoes. Though it is clearly the budget shoe in the Stuburt range (David Howell and Mark James are among the leading pros who wear the Stuburt Profile S shoes) these must be one of the best value-for-money shoes on the market, priced at most retailers between £25 and £35.
I have worn them in weather conditions that were either very hot with hard conditions underfoot or in the rain, with the inevitable detours into long, wet grass (looking for playing partners' balls, honest!).
And at all times my feet emerged comfortable and dry giving my game a much better chance of being at its best throughout.
I also liked the styling of the black sample shoes I tested and the 'Multi-stud traction system' combining elegance and grip. Another plus point is Stuburt's Top-Dri membrane lining, which comes with a 12 month waterproof warranty.

Summary: | The Pro-Am II rates high among all shoes I've worn over many years and not just those in the lower price bracket. They certainly get my recommendation if you're looking for comfort, grip and style at a price that won't hurt the wallet.
