 Kasco Premium Soft

When it comes to the golf glove I'm a bit of a fiddler. I play a shot and release the velcro tab so as not to overstretch the leather. I tend not to take it off until I reach the green to putt but merely absent-mindedly play with the flap as I'm walking to the next shot.
Some golfers suck their teeth, others scratch their heads or other parts of their anatomy. I'm a compulsive flap-fiddler.
This probably accounts for part of the rubber-moulded Kasco logo detaching itself from the glove before I'd completed two rounds but it's a minor complaint about a glove that fits snugly and has shown little sign of wear in the heel of the palm, where most gloves suffer because of the friction between hand and rubber grip.
The secret to getting the most out of a golf glove is fit - the tighter the better in my experience. My preference is for medium/large which allows for minimal stretching and flexibility. However, as a playing colleague discovered recently, a glove which fits too loosely can merely provide an extra excuse for not playing to your potential.
Though it's a little pricey, you get a lot of cabretta leather for your money with none of the contrasting lycra panels that are typical of modern gloves and allow the manufacturers to save a little in cost.
However, along with some other modern gloves, it lacks the traditional detachable ball-marker - always a useful asset instead of fumbling for a coin.

Summary: | You get what you pay for with a golf glove. I've seen them for under a fiver but the stitching tends to quickly become detached around the knuckle. This Kasco glove is well made with a quality feel for those delicate shots around the green but might not stand up to too much fiddling. |
