Golf shop specialist American Golf, has signed up to provide a giant retail store at the 2007 London Golf Show, due to be held at ExCel in London's Docklands from April 26-29.

Andrew McDonald, chief executive of Europe's largest specialist golf retailer confirmed agreement has been reached with the Golf Show Co Ltd that the Warrington-based company would exclusively provide equipment and clothing for sale at the event - the third to be held for consumers and which annually attracts over 300 exhibitors and 30,000 golfers over four days.

“The London Golf Show is now firmly established as the major consumer golf show in the UK" says McDonald. “It's our aim to give the visitors the best choice of brands available in the industry with an unrivalled selection of clothing, accessories and clubs. We'll be working with the organisers to give golfers a day to remember.”

With 71 stores across UK and Ireland, award-winning American Golf was voted high street golf retailer of the year by Golfmagic.com members in 2006 and by two magazines.

Says Colin Brunton, chairman of the golf show: “I'm delighted we have secured a deal with American Golf. We have discussed many initiatives for the show and are planning some fantastic promotions for all ages.”

As well as a fashion, simulators, interactive coaching, and a driving range with many major brands available, the 2007 show will also stage a golf industry conference at ExCeL running simultaneously with the first two days , focussing on the business of golf as well as resort and golf course marketing.
