The stylish X3R trolley

Rob Jones, a 43 year old maintenance electrician working for Vauxhall Motors, has won a streamlined remote-controlled XR3 electric golf trolley courtesy of Stewart golf and Golfmagic.com.

He won the prize used by many top celebrities and worth over £1,000 in our exclusive competition during November and December, which attracted a bumper entry.

"What a fantastic result" said Rob, a golfer since he was 15 and now a 21-handicapper at Northop Hall Golf Club, near his home at Neston in Cheshire. "I couldn't believe it. I've been thinking about getting one and would have loved the Stewart XR3 but just couldn't afford it."

Bert Sheard

Runner-up was Bert Sheard from Ampthill in Bedfordshire, who wins a Caddy GPS yardage measuring device worth over £200.

Bert (69) is a retired inspecting engineer, formerly with ICI, and with a handicap of 14 at Beadlow Manor GC.

"Golf came into my life at a late stage, about eight years ago, after playing rugby and racing Windsurfers. I'm still waiting to win my first individual competition," he said.

Six consolation prizes of a Stewart Golf umbrella go to: Stephen Culligan from Dublin, Malcolm Guy, (Ellon, Aberdeen), Brian Mills (Newtownards, Northern Ireland) , Mike Rowlinson (Wellesbourne, Warwickshire), Barry Treweek (Dagenham, Essex) and and Jonathan Rimmer (Dunham Hill, Cheshire).
