Three lucky Golfmagic members have won the stylish GoKart electric trolleys, following a competition run on the site during April/May, which attracted hundreds of entries.

The lightweight GoKart features a tough, high-tech moulded frame driven by a powerful motor able to cope with most undulations on a golf course.

Says GoKart's Sandy Catford: “We thought it was about time someone took a fresh look at electric trolleys. There's huge scope when using modern materials, and we were keen to combine looks with practicality.”

Our winners were Peter Morrison from Monifieth, Keith Flook from Durham and Julie Quilter from Barnstaple, Devon.

Said a delighted Peter (44) a university lecturer and golfer for 14 years: "That's marvellous news. I currently try to play one full round a week, and twice a week take advantage of the light mornings and shoot six holes before taking my son to school and then heading off to work.

"Unfortunately, the tee shot is blind and uphill and you can't see the flag so I only discovered it was in the hole (after much searching in the greenside rough) when my playing partner holed out!"

He says he's currently studying Ben Hogan's Five Lessons to improve his game.

"His scientific approach suits how I learn and I have started striking the ball more consistently than ever, so here's hoping my handicap will start to fall again!"

"I've no official handicap and came back to the game about four years ago after a 20-year break. I play to around 19 though I have been cut at times to 12 with a local society, " says Keith, who plays at Knotty Hill near Sedgefield, often with fellow forum contributors 'Joroni' and Chris Curry.

He adds: "I've just spent 'a small fortune' on a new set of Mizuno MX-25s and a Callaway FTi (draw) driver. They'll look good with my GoKart trolley!"

Julie has been playing golf for just over two years and says there has been a definite improvement on her 36 handicap at Portmore Park golf Club, near Barnstaple in the last couple of months.

"I work as a carpentry bench hand so am in a factory all day.Golf is the most enjoyable way I know of to get fresh air and exercise."
