Take guesswork out of your game plans

Only one thing tends to stands between golfers and their next game in the UK - and that's the weather.

Though few of us care to admit we're fair weather golfers, following the unseasonably wet summer we've endured this year, we've become accustomed to tuning into the forecasts or checking the skies around us with a pessimistic eye.

Now a new product claims to take the risk out of advance knowledge of conditions we're likely to face on the course or on the driving range.

Weather at a glance: The Oregan weather station

The Oregan's BAR688HG personal weather station can predict local weather in your area for the next day enabling you to choose between the golf in suitable conditions or the threat of disruption from rain, wind, ice or even snow.

The £49.99 device has easy to read icons displayed on a LCD screen offering a choice of 12 to 24 hour weather forecasts and giving you up-to-date local predictions. This dual band weather forecaster uses barometric technology to analyse and predict weather trends to help decided whether it polo shirt or sweater, windtop or waterproofs.

To ensure that the readings are as accurate as possible, the unit takes up to three wireless indoor/outdoor sensors, one already included, thanks to a three-channel temperature capacity.

The Weather Station also includes a radio controlled clock, snooze function, ice alert icon, pressure and temperature trends and a display of indoor and outdoor humidity.

We've got TWO Oregan products to give away. All we ask is for you to review the courses you've played in the UK last few months. Almost all are listed among over 2,000 courses in our Golfmagic.com data base so simply call up the course you've played and submit your review.

Not only will your opinions help others to pick a good value course to play, as individuals, as a group or as a society, but it could win you your own personal weather station if your review is submitted before the end of November.
