Rescue me!: The new octagonal Hex fairway and rescue woods
|
When
Hippo Golf introduced its Hex2 octagonal-shaped driver in January, it brought gasps of astonishment from the golf industry. But so successful has the club been that the makers have now introduced the Hex fairway and rescue woods.
The unusual shape, says Hippo, allows for better weight distribution to help keep the clubface square at impact and combines to reduce the effect of side spin and provide more energy transfer from club face to ball (less spin, more power).
Mitsubishi Rayon regular or stiff graphite shafts are provided as standard in the right-handed clubs, which have 3- and 5-wood fairway options (£59.99) or 21 or 24-degrees rescues (£49.99). So if you liked the Hex2 driver, you'll love these.
PowaKaddy, is reporting sales up almost 15 per-cent on the same period last year, after a boost in June highlighted in a recent online consumer survey by Foremost and Alliance Golf, which identified that over electric trolley owners surveyed used PowaKaddy.
PowaKaddy says its success has been built on the continued high demand for the world's best selling trolley - the Freeway.
