2010 Ryder Cup
The spectacular Twenty Ten Ryder Cup course at the Celtic Manor in Wales

The new course built to stage the Ryder Cup at The Celtic Manor Resort in Wales in 2010 has been named after the date that shaped its existence. The title Twenty Ten Course reflects the fact that the spectacular layout will forever be associated with hosting the biennial clash between Europe and the United States, one of the world's most captivating sporting events.

As well as playing privileges, exclusive membership also guarantees a season ticket for the week of the 2010 Ryder Cup (and the chance to buy another one) avoiding the ballot due to take place for the precious passes.

The Twenty Ten Club membership - a price has yet to be announced - will be limited to 450 members for whom former Welsh rugby legend Gareth Edwards has been nominated the first captain.

The new course which opened for play for £600 fourballs in July, is 7,493 yards in length with a par of par 71.

Says Edwards: “It's a very special course, which provides the sort of challenge that members are never going to tire of, and the new clubhouse looks absolutely magnificent. I'm sure we're all going to be very proud of playing here in the run-up to 2010 and beyond.”

The magnificent clubhouse - part of a £16m investment in building the new course - will also house a high-ceilinged restaurant and separate function room, with views out over the picturesque course and the beautiful Usk Valley.

Members will also receive two season tickets to The Celtic Manor Wales Open as well as access to play on the new Montgomerie course, designed by the Ryder Cup legend Colin Montgomerie, and the Roman Road course, which has hosted the last three Wales Opens.
