Titleist has once again emerged as the No.1 golf ball on pro circuits around the world. Using the Pro V1 or ProV1x balls
players achieve another impressive tally of 169 victories during 2007. Since the introduction of the Pro V1 in 2000, it has claimed more than 1,000 champions worldwide.
The Pro V1 or Pro V1x registered five times more victories on the European Tour than its nearest rival, including Open champion Padraig Harrington, who used the ProV1x to win at Carnoustie and Adam Scott. Its nearest competitor had six titles.
Titleist claims that more than half of the top 50 money winners on the 2007 PGA TOUR, including Masters champion Zach Johnson and US Open winner Angel Cabrera used Titleist balls.
They also say their players earned more than five times more money worldwide($342,203,366) than the nearest competitor, while claiming 16 wins on the LPGA Tour, 19 on the Nationwide and 60 wins across in Asia, Australasia, Canada, Japan and South Africa. Over 20,700 Tour players around the world chose Titleist compared to 2,521 for their nearest competitior.
