Muscle and cavity back irons by King Cobra

While King Cobra is creating and building a strong following with handicap golfers through its S9 and FP irons, it is also fulfilling the needs of more skilled golfers including Tour professionals, with its latest Pro CB (above left) and Pro MB (above right) irons in the hands of Geoff Ogilvy, Ian Poulter, Camilo Villegas and the US Tour's new powerhouse, J B Holmes.

King Cobra Pro CB irons have been crafted, says Cobra Golf in St Ives, Cambs., with a forged cavity back, shorter hosel and lower centre of gravity, to deliver a high ball flight, while the rounded sole will improve ball-striking from the turf.

Said Holmes after his win in the US Tour's FBR Open: “The Pro CBs went through the turf better and produced shots that were peaking higher with a more solid, penetrating ball-flight.”

King Cobra Pro MB muscleback irons give a softer feel, say the makers, with a thin topline and rounded sole to aid ball control and feedback. Commented Cobra convert Jason Gore: “I fell in love with the Pro MBs immediately - the most solid striking irons I've ever hit.”

The King Cobra Pro MB (with True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 steel shafts) and Pro CB (Royal Precision Rifle Project X 5.5 steel) sets include include 3 - PW and will retail at £632 from April 1.
