Rife's Two-Bar hybrid putter

Already, players like Justin Rose, have quickly proved that a Rife putter (he uses the Barbados model from the Island series) can give you a head start when it comes to holing more putts - the proof being in his outstanding European Tour order of merit victory in 2007 and his status as No.6 in the world.

Rife is a relatively new name in the UK and European golf industry, but the technology created by club designer Guerin Rife has already taken the PGA and European Tours by storm and the addition of a new Rife Two Bar Hybrid putter to its range will certainly raise expectations.

The secret to the success of the Two Bar Hybrid putter lies in its 4-point adjustable weighting system as well as its 'RollGroove' milled, horizontal grooves in the face to reduce skidding and the LieAline custom fitting system, which teaches players to automatically set-up to every putt in the same, natural position.

Using a subtle vertical notch located on the back edge of the top line of the putter, Rife claims players can automatically tell whether the putter is set-up to suit their putting stroke.

"If you can see the entire white sight line then the putter is set-up perfectly, if not then you use the LieAline Bending tool to bend the hosel into the ideal position for you. Once this has been done you can benefit from a more consistent and repeatable stroke path every time by using the sight line," says Rife.

Adjustable weighting allows players to apply different weight configurations to match the speed of the greens. The stainless steel weight inserts in the heel and toe also help to improve stability and accuracy from off-centre hits, say the makers.

The Two Bar Hybrid is available at £129 with 34 and 35-inch shaft options for right-handers. A left-handed model will follow soon. For further information visit www.rifeputters.co.uk.
