US Masters first round tee times

US Masters
Attention to detail - painting the kerbs at Augusta today

Looks like a tasty set of pairings for the opening round of the US Masters with Australian Stuart Appleby again teeing it up with his Florida neighbour Tiger Woods, just as he did in the final round of last year's event, when neither managed to catch the eventual champion Zach Johnson. This time they will be joined by current US open champion Angel Cabrera.

The European challenge will be led by Justin Rose in the following match, teeing off at around 4pm UK time tomorrow (Thursday). Rose, who has shown good Augusta form, plays with Henrik Stenson and Japanese Toru Taniguchi for the opening two rounds.

The Woods trio follow another intriguing combination of Luke Donald, Geoff Ogilvy, winner of the recent CA World Championship event and defending champion Zach Johnson.

After Masters legend Arnold Palmer has performed the opening ceremonial tee shot, the tournament will begin with the two-ball of Ben Curtis and Shaun Micheel, with Lee Westwood teeing off in the final group around 7pm (UK time) alongside Aaron Baddeley and Camilo Villegas.
