Questions... and more questions that Mizuno aims to find the answers to on its current Trackman Tour when its engineers will bring its latest MP-600 and MX-560 drivers to compare your current favourite on its latest radar fitting system to help golfers find their optimum driver specification.
With 20-minute appointments, golfers will be challenged to put their current driver against an optimised Mizuno driver. Over 400 previous testers have averaged a driving increase of over 16 yards, says the Reading-based equipment distributors.
The Trackman is a radar ball-tracking system used by Mizuno's technicians on Tour to fit drivers for players like Daniel Vancsik - one of the longest on the European circuit and its No.1 ambassador Luke Donald. The Trackman is also used at Mizuno's National Fitting Centre in Leatherhead, Surrey.
"The 2007 Tour was so overbooked that we decided to bring the Trackman out again," commented Rob Jackson, Mizuno's UK marketing manager. "It is a rare opportunity for most golfers to have access to such high specification fitting tools at their own golf course - and anyone would appreciate driving the ball an extra 16 yards."
