Aldila's new VooDoo shaft will be available in September

Aldila is claiming its new VooDoo graphite shaft, which has been flexing its muscle on the US and European Tours is the hottest piece of equipment in golf.
The company is now launching the VooDoo shaft with S-core Technology through leading brands and their distributors, with several top manufacturers including it in their 2008/2009 models from September. It is also being distributed through a network of club-fitters, but expect to pay £150 to £200 for the privilege.
The shaft's stabilized core (S-core) is designed to increase distance and provide improved accuracy thanks to the VooDoo's high modulus carbon rib running its full length.
Says Aldila's head of engineering, John Oldenburg: “The innovative rib structure increases hoop strength/stiffness so much that it is 80 per-cent greater than conventional graphite," He also claims its 60 per-cent greater than other attempts at cross sectional stabilization or 'Pure-ing', the latest technique for discovering shaft stiffness variations.
According to Oldenburg, the VooDoo's increased stability maximizes energy transfer to the ball and retains the shaft's symmetry to deliver clubhead to ball more reliably.
“Since the VooDoo's introduction on Tour players have provided us with amazing feedback,” says aldila's Mike Rossi, "Both Stuart Appleby and Boo Weekley changed all their metalwoods to the VooDoo shaft. Lee Westwood and Geoff Ogilvy also used VooDoo shafts in their victories.
