 New Srixon Z-Star packaging

The Z-Star and Z-StarX use ultra thin urethane technology, a large core and a softer cover to improve distance, spin and feel, says Srixon who have put a £44 per dozen suggested price on the balls.
One key difference is a 90 compression with the Z-Star, designed for low and mid handicap players, 'seeking Tour performance' with a combination of 'optimum distance, spin control and soft feel.' The Z-StarX has a 104 compression, for players looking for 'explosive distance and high spin performance around the greens.'
The balls also feature an Invisiseam Technology 324-dimple pattern 'to ensure uniformity across the diameter of the ball for consistent flight'. The larger, more shallow dimples ' help to reduce wind resistance for added distance,' says Srixon adding that a new coating on the urethane cover 'significantly improves spin performance from the rough, allowing players to attack pins from any type of lie.'
Other players using the Z-Star ball include Jim Furyk, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Boo Weekley and Laura Davies.
