Tried and Tested: Adi 18 glasses

Few golfers appreciate the fact that impaired vision due to glare from the sun, wind speed or dust can actually reduce the performance on course. Now adidas sport eyewear has launched a technically advanced range of eyewear for golfers that has been developed to provide the golfer with maximum vision, focus, performance and comfort from tee off to final putt.

Extensively researched by adidas and tested by top professionals, the adidas golf eyewear range uses a number of leading edge optical technologies to eliminate sunlight distortion and moisture smears; enable panoramic vision and ensure an ultra-secure fit and soft grip. Working together the technologies reduce inconvenience and discomfort during play and allow the golfer to concentrate fully on his or her shots.

The lenses are available in different colours and provide 100% UV shielding with premium optical quality. The newly developed LST (Light Stabilising Technology) Golf Filter - has a tint that specifically enhances colour contrast on the green.

The range incorporates three models to suit varied individual needs: a18 - regular size, a18-L (large with a bigger lens shape) and a18-S (small with a smaller frame and lens) Additionally all models accommodate the unique TRI-FIT system that allows wearers to adjust the angle between the lenses and the temples in three positions and the double-snap nose bridge, an easily adjustable nose bridge with two positions for different nose sizes.

Adidas golf eyewear provides all levels of golfer from learner to tour professional with optimum levels of protection from all optical threats to playing performance and as such should become as essential to a successful round of golf as golfers' chosen clubs.

GOLFmagic tried and tested them and they proved to be all they were cracked up to be. They fit snugly onto the face and when it is really bright, as it has been in the south of the UK recently, they ease the eyes around the course and believe it or not, they even show up some of the subtle undulations on the green too, which we all know can make a huge difference to our putting!

GOLFMagic rating: 8/10

RRP £89 and for those of you with prescription lenses, there is a separate clip to put your lenses behind the sunglasses at a cost of £25.
