Darren Clarke has married his fiancée Alison Campbell in a simple beach wedding in the Bahamas.
The reigning Open champion made the news official on his personal website, revealing former US Open champion Graeme McDowell was present alongside agent Chubby Chandler.
Clarke, 43, said it was a ‘pretty stunning occasion, as well as a very happy one’.
After the vows Chandler tweeted a photograph of the happy couple and posted: “Darren and Alison Clarke getting married on a spectacular day at the Abaco Club.”
Later he added: “One of the nice things is that G-Mac introduced DC and new wife on a blind date and they have made it today, seen the job through to the end!”
It referred to how the couple met, when McDowell set the pair up on a blind date back in 2009. Darren and Alison immediately hit it off and the Dungannon golfer proposed in December 2010.

Darren and Alison naturally look lovely. McDowell looks very good too. But I really must say that Chubby Chandler looks absolutely stunning!
