NIKE GOLF has leaked images of its new VR_S Covert 2.0 driver for 2014, a successor to the brand's popular VR_S Covert as used on Tour by both Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
On first look, the driver looks similar in metallic red and we understand two versions will be available, one with a standard silver face and another with a deeper, black face aimed at better players.
The new Nike Covert 2.0 driver was first spotted in Charl Schwartzel’s bag at the Tour Championship and now two versions apear on the USGA’s non conforming driver list.
On first look, the odd looking sole cavity remains but it's much bigger. Looking down on the new 2.0 the paint job on the crown is the same as the the original but there’s a lot different on the underside.
The paint job is a toned down black affair compared to the bright chrome on the original and the unique cavity which was born in the original has now grown.
