Free coaching offered at Glendale Golf centres

As many of us appreciate, it can be a nightmare finding activities for the kids and for some of us, the grandchildren, during half-term school holidays.
Keeping them safe and off the streets is a priority, while allowing them to enjoy themselves and perhaps learn a new skill.
Glendale Golf, with its courses and golf centres in the south and north west, has spotted an opportunity to introduce children (aged between six and 16 years) to the game, by offering free golf lessons at seven of its venues.
Their Tiger Days - a one-day event at each course - will offer a series of free golf taster sessions to get kids started under Glendale team of PGA professionals between 10 and 2pm. Five children will be allocated a 30 minute session in one of three age category (6-9, 10-13 and 14-16 yrs) with the chance to practice or take part in other activities organised by each centre.
The best students in each category will receive a year's worth of golf lessons at one of Glendale's junior academies as well as unlimited free golf. Every student will receive a certificate of participation.
Last year’s winner Richmond Park was 11-year-old Luke Dunn, who said golf was definitely a sport he will continue to play regularly.
"Winning the one of the Glendale Tiger Days was the best thing ever!"
Tiger Day dates are: Tuesday May 27 - Richmond Park and Duxbury Park; Wednesday May 28 - Tilgate Forest and Edwalton Golf Centre; Thursday May 29 - Portsmouth Golf Centre; Friday May 30 - Beckenham Place Park and Airlinks Golf Course.
