Having aced his rivals at The Honda Classic to become golf's new World No.1 just hours previous, Rory McIlroy swapped his Titleist ProV1x for something slightly bigger in an exhibition match between his girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki and Maria Sharapova.

Wozniacki summoned McIlroy from his courtside seat at Madison Square Garden and handed the Ulsterman her racquet before the final game of her match, which she went on to lose 6-3, 6-4.

Watch the video to see how he got on against the 2004 Wimbledon champion.
