Par-3 Championship doubles prize money

This year's Farmfoods British Par-3 Championship at Nailcote Hall, near Coventry, will feature some of the game's current and past legends playing for a stunning £100,000 in prize money.

The tournament celebrates its 80th anniversary and organisers Champions UK PLC reveals that the winner will take home £25,000 - putting it on a par with some European Challenge and Senior Tour events.

Hosted by former Ryder Cup captain and double major win ner Tony Jacklin CBE, the championship - between August 6 and 9 - will also include current Race to Dubai leader Scott Jamieson, 1991 US Masters winner Ian Woosnam OBE, Ryder Cup legend Brian Barnes, Seniors Tour Rookie of the Year Gary Wolstenholme, former World Cup winner Marc Warren and European Tour stars Graeme Storm, Gary Boyd and Tommy Fleetwood.

The tournament also features two Celebrity-Am days that regularly attract some of the country’s biggest  names including in the past Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charlton, Len Goodman, Peter Shilton, Peter Schmeichel, Jasper Carrot, Johnny Herbert and actor William Roache.
