RYDER CUP captains Paul McGinley and Tom Watson will meet in Perth, Scotland,  in a ‘Year to Go' event before next September’s showdown at Gleneagles.

‘An Audience with the Ryder Cup Captains’ will be held in Perth Concert Hall on Monday 23 September .

Hosted by Dougie Donnelly, it will involve a Q&A “to give people a chance to get up close and personal” with the illustrious pair.

Earlier on the same day, the celebrations will see media and photo opportunities with official Ryder Cup Europe celebrity ambassadors, politicians and partners in both Edinburgh and Gleneagles.

In the afternoon they will play in a Captains’ Golf event on the PGA Centenary Course, playing nine holes with 18 junior golfers. The next day the pair will hold their first joint press conference since their appointments.

The event will mark the competition being held in Scotland for the first time in more than 40 years.
