"It's not often I win anything," said the 54-year-old two-handicapper. "I've been playing seriously for six years, though I had a spell as a society golfer for in the early 1980s. I didn't touch a golf club again until 2002 but strangely, I'm a lot better golfer now than when I was younger!"
