Enviro shoes from Hi-Tec

Hi-Tec is introducing the first environmentally-friendly golf shoe made with organic vegetable-tanned leather uppers and a sock-liner made of re-cycled material. Even the soles are made of a mixture of rice husks and latex rubber.
The only non-green part of the Enviro shoe is the softspikes' receptacles though Hi-Tec says it is working to create a future shoe to replace that outstanding one per-cent.
Says Hi-Tec's Fredrik Sundstrom: “Whether it’s being ‘green’, ‘recycled’ or ‘earth friendly’, we are constantly being reminded about environmental issues. Society wants to be more environmentally conscious and it's our responsibility to provide products that fit this demand. "

The Enviro has a 12-month waterproof guarantee and is available from January in men’s sizes 6-12 in black or brown. Recommended price will be £70 a pair.
