Two of the most exciting talents currently playing on the PGA Tour in America have confirmed that they will be joining the European Tour for the coming season.
The pair has enjoyed stellar seasons in 2008, both earning two victories apiece to catapult themselves into the world’s top 10.
Kim, 23, also played a key role in America’s Ryder Cup win in Valhalla, while Colombian Villegas, 26, won back-to-back events during the Fed Ex Cup.
Other big-name players who previously played exclusively on the PGA Tour in America, including Phil Mickelson, Geoff Ogilvy and Robert Allenby, are also considering playing the minimum 12 events required to earn a place on the European Tour and a shot at the $10 million Race to Dubai.
If Mickelson did join the European Tour it would leave Tiger Woods as the only player inside the world's top 10 not registered as a member of the European Tour.
