Sophie Sandolo, 28-year-old Italian golf professional, aims to raise her profile – not to mention the temperatures of her greatest fans - by releasing a sexy calendar.
Already recognised for her stunning looks and fashions on the course, as well as an excellent golf game that has earned her six top ten finishes in 68 appearances on the Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour, she aims to shed new light on her career.
"Golf needs visibility, glamour and a new image," she says. "I’ve tried to make my small contribution opening a new way that could bring more notoriety to the sport I play and I love so much. That’s why I accepted the opportunity to pose for a sexy calendar.
"It represents my love for golf, my desire for freedom with a touch of flirtation. I’m instinctively attracted by fashion, elegance and glamour."

Born in Nice but of Italian parents, Sophie had a brilliant amateur career and gained her card to play the Ladies European Tour at the end of 1999. In five years she has 20 top 20 finishes, including a second place in the 2003 Spanish Open, and nine in the Australian Open earlier this year.
The blonde-haired green-eyed graduate of UCLA who gained a degree in marketing represents the prestigious Italian fashion companies Gruppo La Perla, Conte of Florence and Luciano Barbera.
Billed as "explosive and sexy", the Sandolo calendar is daring, yet tastefully photographed, though the nude front cover is sure to divide opinions among the golf community.
In Italy, the media has received it warmly and Sophie is already in demand for photo shoots and interviews. She will be appearing on TalkSport’s Golf Show on Sunday night.
Tell us what you think of the image portrayed on behalf of the Ladies European Tour. Over the top or merely titillating? In bad taste or good for golf?
