Poulter
I can see clearly now: Ian Poulter

During the US Masters at Augusta National, Ian Poulter has admitted he visited an allergy specialist to seek help for his eye, nasal and chest problems.

The 33-year-old from Hertfordshire suffered for many years from hayfever, as well as asthma and reveals: "The hayfever was really bad at Bay Hill two weeks ago. I hadn't been able to shrug off a cold for a couple of weeks, so I wanted an opinion from a specialist.

"He gave me a different inhaler, different nasal spray, eye drops and tablets. Every time I've been to Augusta in the past it's been a problem because of the pine trees and the pollen, but last week was great."

In addition to having an improved respiratory system during the Masters, Poulter can now also see better. Earlier this year he underwent eye surgery to correct astigmatism in both eyes.

Poulter ended up in a tie-for-20th on Sunday which further illustrated his growing consistency in the Major championships. He has now posted seven top-25 finishes in his last 12 Major appearances.
