Tiger spotted in Hyde Park.

Monday 13th November

This morning, in a unique event, Tiger Woods was giving an exhibition of his sublime skills in Hyde Park, Central London. The event was organised by American Express, and allowed the "ticket only" crowd the rare chance to get close to Tiger Woods. Woods, at the age of 24 is already a sporting legend. Not surprisingly all the tickets for the event were quickly snapped up, allocated on a first come – first served basis.

Throughout the event, which was being presented by Gary Lineker, it was planned that Tiger would interact with the audience through a couple of giant video screens. Following Tiger’s performance, Lineker was going to be given the chance to earn £1 Million for charity, if he could shoot a hole-in-one.

Tiger Woods signed up as a spokesman for American Express in 1997. Woods was chosen, because of the attributes that he displays in life, and because American Express feel that they reflect well on their business.

A quote from the ‘Tiger in the Park’ website explains: “Tiger’s phenomenal success and excellence are the result of discipline, hard work and preparation, the very same underpinning attributes of American Express Financial Services.”

For those who failed to get tickets, the event was being broadcast live on the specially created Tiger in the Park website. Whilst the live web broadcast is now over, it will be possible to see it again later this afternoon at 16:00 hrs.
