Troon has signed an agreement with The Meydan Group to manage the new Peter Harradine-designed nine-hole floodlit course.
Managed under the experienced guidance of industry leaders Troon, Meydan will make golf accessible to players of all abilities with an open pay-to-play fee structure rather than costly membership fees.
Open till midnight, the unique nine-hole layout stretches more than 3,600 yards from the back tees and works its way between a series of natural lakes. Troon also claims the unique city location offers the player unforgettable views of theDubaicity skyline and the iconic Meydan Racecourse.
Opening alongside the Meydan Racecourse and Hotel, the new developments fit nicely into the build up to the world’s richest day in racing – the Dubai World Cup.
Meydan CEO Saeed H Al Tayer said: “The developments of Meydan complement one another to feature an enticing alignment of work, leisure and lifestyle. We are pleased to showcase this development to coincide with the Dubai World Cup, our internationally famous signature event.”
Facilities will include a fully equipped clubhouse, golf shop, locker rooms, multiple dining options, lively sports bar, floodlit driving range and Academy by Troon, aimed at stimulating new golfers and for the more experienced wishing to hone their skills.
