Cleveland CG7 - delicious feel

If you haven't tried them yet, Cleveland Golf's latest CG7 irons are delicious - there's also a CG7 Tour iron version (£475, steel shaft) for better players but I was more than happy with the 'everyman' model when I tried them at Cleveland/Srixon's state of the art Centre of Excellence in Maidenhead.

Looks: Stylish-looking iron with thick, anti-glare top line to build in more confidence at address. Some might call them chunky but mid- to high handicaps need that solidity.

Feel/Performance: One piece injection-molded, lightweight insert helps reduce vibration across the entire face so even 'toed' efforts fly as far. Delicious feel from the shots you nail which carry on a medium, penetrating trajectory which I prefer. Wouldn't hesitate to put these in my bag with a steel shaft though I'd probably leave out the 4-iron in favour of a hybrid
