Looks: A bigger driver head to what I'm used to but has a more classical shape than some of its tapered predecessors. And I can certainly see how it promotes extra confidence for amateurs at address.

Feel/performance: Getting the ideal launch angle and spin rate off the head makes an amazing difference in ball flight, so after some initial tweaking of the adjustable head, I tried a Cobra ZL driver with 9.5 degrees (neutral setting), then tried the same driver and same Aldila Voodoo shaft with 8.5 degrees of loft. The improvement was more than 13 yards - almost ten of which was through the air.

With the 9.5 model, my spin rate was upwards of 3500 rpm compared to the 8.5's 2500-2600 rpm. The 8.5 head gave me an average of nine extra yards carry and and nearly four more yards of roll.

If, in tournament conditions, a pro can take the equivalent of one less club for our second shot, it makes a big difference in terms of birdie opportunities!

I have been using the same driver since finishing fifth behind Retief Goosen in the 2006 South African Open, which at the time generated a spin rate of only 2100 rpm. If only I'd had more loft in my driver then I could have done better!
