We all know where the game is won and lost - on the greens. This is where the majority of your practice should take place. 

While putting is the most individual stroke, there are simple rules every player should follow, should you want to build an effective stroke.

These are five of the superb tips every player should be employing.  

Putt one handed

The left hand controls the direction of the putter, while the right hand provides power. If you break the left wrist through the stroke, you will never be consistent putter.

Practice putting with just your left hand, making sure your wrist stays rigid.
