'LONG AND LOUD'
Strengths:
easy to control and straight. Long, high and loud. 9.5 deg stiff stock shaft.
Weaknesses:
high MOI makes it difficult to shape shots.
Overall:
Pretty good. Staying in the bag for now

'A GOOD ALL ROUNDER'
Strengths:
easy to use, keeps it pretty straight, good weight in the hands and a general good performer
Weaknesses:
gets twitchy as your swing speed increases, I did have a reg shaft in mine to be fair, now use a stiff flex Cobra
Overall:
For the higher handicapper, not a bad weapon, can hit it a fair distance if you relax and swing through..........ooops isnt that what we are all supposed to do

'ARE YOU DONNAY IN DISGUISE?'
Strengths:
Good resale value.
Weaknesses:
Pretty much eveything else. The things that really stick out were the dead feel, the dull noise, and the awful, awful grip.
Overall:
Bought it as it was supposed to be the dogs danglies. Sold it as it was actually doggie do-do - in my opinion m'lud. On the bright side, it'll soon be illegal.

'LONG AND INACCURATE!'
Strengths:
excellent all round club. just shws how much taylormade have come along since the supersteel drivers.

[Update 10/05/06] good club. lasted me for ages and hits the ball a long way

Weaknesses:
some bits come lose inside the club head, but does nnot affect performance.theycome out when u change the grip.

[Update 10/05/06] some bits come loose inside the club head, but this does not affect performance, they should come out when you change the grip.

Overall:
the face is so deep that u cud not even dream of skying it. use strong balls as they will probably set on fire during impact

[Update 10/05/06] a good second hand bargain, forgiving but you never feel like you're going to hit it straight

'LIGHT'
Strengths:
Light weight in the hand, confidence inspiring.
Weaknesses:
Due to its weight tendency to get a little quick in the swing. Dead off the face. Grip can be poor and as some say build quality not as good as you would expect from a premium brand.
Overall:
Excellent club, won't claim huge distance gains that some may when reviewing drivers, but will say that the slice is not as bad as it used to be.

'GIVES CONFIDENCE'
Strengths:
Gives confidence that, given a reasonable swing ;-), the ball will soar.
Weaknesses:
I have the 8.5 degree, stiff shafted version, which is probably not best suited to my slowish swing speed. [But only cost £50.]
Overall:
I can hit c250 yd drives from a pedestrian swing speed. I'm confident this club will stay with me as I progress.

'A CRACKER-CAN'T ASK FOR MORE-HONESTLY'
Strengths:
The head is a touch larger than others in the same category which is good if you like that sort of thing. The good thing about the head is that it is very forgiving on off centre hit, due to the head size. Long and straight drives are now easy for me to pull off. I had a callaway steelhead-very small head, i have seen 3 woods with a bigger ehad than one of those. Got my burner in august, immediatly went out and won presidents plate, the august medal, captains day and a whole variety of other medals that followed.
Weaknesses:
If you have a high swing speed, like me, i would suggest you opt for the stiff shafted version. there is too much whip in the regular version. The ball flight can sometimes be too high, which is ok for the middle of summer, but round october till march it's a real burden.
Overall:
Got mine for £90, which for a taylormade is an excellant deal, great club, workability easily possible, very long, straight and a match ofr any on the market.

'GOES MILES !!'
Strengths:
Great club and a great price £90 got the stiff grapite and hit a 300yd drive last week...im a 28 handicaper!!

Have had it year and a half and its become a great driver and is forgiving.
Weaknesses:
Takes some getting used to, probably more me and my swing than the club.
Overall:
For under 100 notes a bargain of a driver that goes miles and has the reassurance of being a quality taylor made product

'Simply a great driver'
Strengths:
Big head, deep face, great noise, very forgiving and hits the ball a nice distance.
Weaknesses:
I'll have to re-tool in Jan 2008 (when its COR is scheduled to become illegal)
Overall:
This is a great driver with a great shaft. The shaft preference is a purely personal thing. I've got the stiff version of the stock TM shaft. Another player might hate it. Works for me, though. You can hit it low, fade or draw. I don't use it off the fairway but the deep face doesn't inspire me to anyway.
