'QUALITY TROLLEY FROM QUALITY COMPANY'
Strengths:
Stronger than my Classic Legend - feels very stable and holds Powakaddy bag absolutely central as it slots into botttom of bag. One touch control covers stop, start, speed control and Electronic Distance Function on this the 2006 Digital Sport model. Freewheel option very useful when playing nine holes (I'm not old enough yet to need battery for half a round!) Trolley light enough to push without battery.
Weaknesses:
Haven't found any yet! Could have bought a cheaper make - but you only get what you pay for!
Overall:
Good quality trolley - with excellent customer service from PowaKaddy (used in the past with my Classic Legend) - from a trusted name. It should also retain a sensible secondhand value - unlike some of the cheapies that seem to be around now. Ask youself - who buys a secondhand Daewoo?

'JURY IS STILL OUT!'
Strengths:
Easy to erect and fold away. When it works it is very good indeed.

[Update 08/03/06] I took the trolley to Foster's of Thyberg, near Rotherham. They discovered a loose wire, which they then re-attached. I collected it three days later and now it works fine.

The Powakaddy Customer Service department were truly excellent. They organised the repair and have offered to send me a new, Powakaddy Deluxe bag as compensation. Many thanks are due to Erica at Powakaddy.
Her response to my complaint was swift and her manner was very professional.

Weaknesses:
My wife bought me one for my 50th, this was (Dec 2005). It kept stopping and transforming itself into a very expensive push trolley.

I returned it to Direct Golf and was informed that the warranty dictated that it had to be returned to a PowaKaddy service depot. It was exactly 5 weeks old. I argued, they should provide me with a new one. This was Jan 22, 2006.

On Feb 25, 2006 the new one started to play up! E-mailed PowaKaddy and was told to take it to a service centre. By the time that I have done this (tomorrow) I will have driven 156 miles, returning, exchanging and having the beast repaired. I expect some compensation from PowaKaddy.

Other weaknesses, I had to buy a bag for it. I bought a brolly holder for it, I bought a score card holder for it.
Powakaddy's are too expensive to justify these extras, it's a rip-off.

As Creosote states, my bag swivels around when the trolley is in use, this is also not good.

A further fault, I have had to de-clutch the wheels on a number of occasions. The wheels have solid centres and not a spoked design. Trying to hold the spring loaded switch in place and pull a wheel outwards (nothing to hold on to)when things are wet and muddy, is not very conducive to Saint like language.

Finally, the front wheel housing is a mud trap and impossible to clear when playing. Also, it is troublesome to clean when I return home. The front wheel is difficult to remove, thus preventing access to the mud-holding housing itself.

[Update 08/03/06] Provided that the trolley continues to work there are no major jibes.

The front wheel housing does still collect mud at an alarming rate, this could be improved greatly.

I now know that spoked wheels are available (£27 per pair). These would make removing the wheels easier than at present. The solid wheels offer no grip, except for the muddy bits.

As for the bag spinning round, I will know more when I fit a Powakaddy bag to the trolley.

Overall:
If it worked and was £100 cheaper, it may represent good value.

I have had two duds in the course of 11 weeks and Powakaddy do not seem interested in offering any form compensation.

Overall, I am not impressed and advise others to think carefully before spending any hard earned cash with PowaKaddy.

[Update 08/03/06] I have played one round since the repair. The trolley behaved itself impeccably and did its job very effectively.

Long may it continue to do so.

'GOOD, BUT NOT GREAT'
Strengths:
Its electric! Pretty well built. Mine has been reliable.
Weaknesses:
Several weak points:-
"Extras such as a brolly holder and cup holder which *should* be standard on a £450 trolley are extras and a rip off at that at £20 each.
Bag strapping attachment system is awful. No matter what you do your bag will slip and turn on its axis which throws the weight more over one wheel so the damn thing goes in circles. Elastic bag rests are so flimsy they bend and move all the time.
Needs far too much effort to steer, you end up bending forwards all the time to navigate the trolley with resultant back ache.
Overall:
Of the generally available electric trolleys this one is about the best. But its pricey, has several design flaws, and while a good trolley its hard to justify the cost of it versus one of the many other much cheaper ones around.

'TAKES THE STRAIN AND LOWERS THE PAIN'
Strengths:
Stylish, quick to assemble, good battery life. Sturdy solid frame and good product support.
Weaknesses:
Price, and for that price more I would like a carry bag, brolley holder, winter glove thrown in - not have to pay for the quite expensive extras. The waterproof cover on the starter switch is quite flimsy.
Overall:
Takes the strain well and allows you to concentrate on the game. Easy to assemble and a good bty life. Overall a good machine but for the price I would like more goodies as part of the package.

'BRILLIANT'
Strengths:
Strong, light and very easy to use. Very stable [All Terrain]
Weaknesses:
Price [though I got a carry bag thrown in as part of the deal].
Overall:
The best thing I have bought, apart from my clubs. I used to get backache either carring my bag or pulling a manual cart, now I feel as fresh at the end of a round as I did at the start, a good buy.

'GAME IMPROVING'
Strengths:
I used to get tired about hole 13-14 and my golf would suffer. Now I tend to win matches or close well in strokeplay as others are fading.
Weaknesses:
Bit pricey - but you gets what you pays for.
Overall:
A great tool and highly recommended to people looking to get to single figures.

'BEST GOLF INVESTMENT I EVER MADE'
Strengths:
quick and easy to assemble, nice and light but sturdy with it.quiet in use.The all terrain model is very stable even on hilly courses
Weaknesses:
Not the cheapest on the market, but you get what you pay for.Shame Powakaddy dont include a few extras in their deals.
Overall:
The freeway titanium is a great piece of ki,and a very sound investment. If you get tired during your round or your back is giving you gip I can strongly recomend this model. It really does allow you to concentrate on your golf shots, and not have to worry about picking up and putting down a golf bag every few minutes , or pulling your trolley all over the place which at the end of the day is what its all about, making a difficult game easier.I feel much fresher towards the end of the round, and noticed my concentration over the closing holes improved greatly, and my scores have dropped with it.Am currently playing off 10 and find it much easier to play to, and occasionally below handicap since I have purchased the freeway,I really do believe it has helped my whole game!!
