'GOOD BUT HAVE SUFFERED SOME DAMAGE'
Strengths:
easy to hit and to control with slow swing
Weaknesses:
in 2 years, i have had 2 shafts snap and a head fly off? ping believe this might be down to the custom fit option as I'm 6' 7" but I was recommended to go for ping because of this
Overall:
feel great, woudl recommend them but unless I've got a dodgy factory build, questions around build quality.

'Fantastic, best Ping irons ever.'
Strengths:
Incredibly easy to use, the extra weighting behind the face means you hit your shots high and straight. The HL irons make long iron play enjoyable and will encourage you to leave your 7 wood / rescue club in your bag in future!
Weaknesses:
You will hit your shots a bit higher than normal and maybe slightly shorter, I am still getting used to them. The price as always with Ping is on the high side, I was lucky I purchased mine at a discount store at a good price, before that the best price I was quoted for G2 graphite shafts was 750 pounds.
Overall:
I have always thought that the best Ping irons previously were the Ping Eye 2's, the G2's are even better! The HL irons are an absolute joy to use, if my handicap doesn't reduce during 2004 I will give up golf!

'PING G2, HIGH HANDICAPPER NO MORE.'
Strengths:
The solid look and feel of the club head at address, like my previous second hand ping eye 2, adds to your confidence before you even begin to swing the club. As I purchased these clubs new I was measured for custom fit with green dot being recommended. In the few months that I have now used these clubs I have consistently played within my handicap by keeping the ball inplay on a good 75% of fairways.
The club head carries enough wieght to promote a good controlled swing speed with the oversize club face providing a good size sweet spot for golfers of my level.
Weaknesses:
Distance on mid to long irons is sacrificed due to the higher ball flight but this is a small price to pay for playing your second shot off the fairway.
Overall:
I am very pleased with my purchase and the custom fit service that tailored the clubs to my specific requirements.

Accuracy vs Distance, a fair trade off if you ask me.

'HANDICAP UNDER THREAT'
Strengths:
Rich and John have it right except that unlike John I am hitting the ball 10 yards further from 3-PW than with my eye 2s.
Weaknesses:
I bought in Bankok. No SW and UK prices.
Overall:
Improver clubs or improved golfer? The difference has been so marked so quickly that I dont think I can take the credit!

'SUPERB - A GREAT LONG TERM INVESTMENT'
Strengths:
Just seem right somehow -the long irons (HL) make a real diffference. I came to these from Wilson Deep Reds and immediatley felt more comfortable. All of a sudden I can consistently hit a tight penetrating draw. HL long irons mean no more duffed fairway woods an no need for utility clubs. Those 190 yrd par 3's are real suddenly scoring opportunities. Custom fitting makes all the difference. I was measured and blue spot recommended. Actually paid internet prices and got excellent custom service fit from Tim Jenkins Europro Golf in Northallerton. Decided to leave out SW and get Ping wedges custom matched.
Weaknesses:
I suppose the price - but shop around as I paid only £58 per club with custom fitting. Had to wait a couple of weeks for delivery from Ping!
Overall:
Excellent clubs - HL irons really make the game easier.
Pings custom fitting system is superb and a real confidence booster.I can now order further clubs exactly matched to my custom fit!

'AMAZING IRONS'
Strengths:
These are great clubs, easy to hit and long. Ping fitting is second to none and an absolute must.
Weaknesses:
None
Overall:
Ping have done it again with the G2. I am a 9 handicap golfer and tried the other main brands, including Callaway, Titleist and Taylor Made, before buyer the Pings. I have no regrets at all, the G2s are a bit more expensive but you get the Ping quality and support for the extra few quid.

'FANTASTIC CAVITY FORGIVENESS'
Strengths:
I found them (HL range)all easy to hit with. As a beginer I was amazed at the number of swings it took before I hit a bad shot.
Weaknesses:
again I only used them for 1 hour & 100 balls on the range, however no weakness came to light. (except I couldnt't afford them)
Overall:
I tried the HL range (High Launch)of 2, 3, 4, 5 irons and the Sand and Gap wedges. Tried them off the tee off the mat and the wedges off the grass. All were very acurate for me. All round excellent irons. Very forgiving of me even purposely doing bad swings!

'FORGIVING, VERY EASY TO HIT, HIGH FLYING SOFT LANDING SHOTS.'
Strengths:
Very confidence inspiring, high flight with no loss of distance compared to my old clubs. Fewer off line shots. Club fitting service.
Weaknesses:
Have not found any yet.
Overall:
Good quality consistent irons, I expect to cut 4-5 shots this year with these clubs.

'GET YOUR SELF A SET'
Strengths:
nice high flight but still half a club longer than my old clubs,(cleveland ta7 )very easy to hit .
Weaknesses:
Not a pretty club to look at

Ive had a set four months now & reduced my handicap by four shots , had em custom fitted at a local club which is a must to get the most out of em, got a good price to ! had a ping driver for a while so thought id give the irons a try , what a result, " WELL DONE PING "

'BRILLIANT, EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY ENGINEERED PRODUCT'
Strengths:
Quality engineered product. Well made, (made to measure), balanced feel, forgiving, off centre hits hardly loose any distance. reduced weight shafts over previous models. good ball flight, good on windy days. improved distance per club over previous club.
Weaknesses:
Not cheap, but always a sensible price when it comes time to change.
Overall:
Best club I have owned, quality item from a great engineering company. Class leading performance, Superb manufacture, product quality, exceptional service, and overal value for money.
