'LONG, FORGIVING, ACCURATE'
Strengths:
Extremely easy to hit and hit it longer than any other set i have tried. the vibration dampening system offers an incredibly solid feeling. also, very simple classy looks.

[Update 09/02/07] Extremely easy to hit and hit it longer than any other set i have tried. the vibration dampening system offers an incredibly solid feeling. also, very simple classy looks.

Weaknesses:
only a minor cosmetic issue with the ring joining on the hosel coming loose on a number of the clubs. performance wise they have only a slight flaw in the lack of workability for better players.

Overall:
If you are playing to a reasonable standard and looking to upgrade to a better quality set then these will be perfect. the clubs offer great distance, forgiveness and accuracy so most mid-high handicaps should definately consider the deep red 2s. for more competent players requiring a smaller more workable headshape i have heard the deep red tour equivalent is also a great club. well done wilson for offering such impressive performance for a fraction of the price of the big name brands.

'SUPERB'
Strengths:
Excellent club, sits well behind the ball, nicely balanced and the go really well, good distance with a nice mid height flight
Weaknesses:
Non really, bit picky but the hosel is very small so looks a little strange at first
Overall:
Superb quality, great performance and at £149 for 4-sw what a bargain.

'STRAIGHT HITTING'
Strengths:
Ability to hit straight, good at getting ball airborne
Weaknesses:
Distance wise they seem shorter than my old Big Bertha irons (they were graphites). Also big loft gap between PW & SW
Overall:
Good game improvement irons, but seem a little short on distance

'LONG AND STRAIGHT'
Strengths:
I had mizuno widec11 irons before and these are 10-15 yards longer and straighter
Weaknesses:
None yet
Overall:
Great clubs, cannot comment on loft gap between pw-sw (set came without sw) but you can buy a gap wedge.

'GO FURTHER THAN YOU THINK...!'
Strengths:
distance. You'll think you made a poor contact and the 4 iron still travel 200 yards. Help with getting staright!
Weaknesses:
Big gap between PW and SW, made me buy a gap wedge (did I need an excuse!)
Overall:
easy to use iron, that after 6 months of use, I am very confident in hitting the full set. The 3 and 4 iron hit so well that I often do not need a driver or 3W off the tee.

'SOLID FEEL, FORGIVING, LONG AND STRAIGHT'
Strengths:
can mis hit off centre and still go's straight. Head shape and shafts give confidence. Great solid feel as you strike
Weaknesses:
Only started to use them and only thing I can think of is that there seems to be more tendancy (then my previous taylor made blades)for a deeper divot. There is definitely a heavier feel but this is not a weakness really - just need to get used to it.
Overall:
Great value for money - especially if you buy off ebay - you'll get at least 40% discount from rrp.

'EXCELLENT BUY - VERY FORGIVING'
Strengths:
I have only been playing for a year and these clubs are excellent for straight hitting. Good distance and all the clubs seem forgiving even if you are not quite right.
Weaknesses:
Not sure yet, need to practice more with pitching wedge. This part has dropped using these clubs
Overall:
I feel these clubs have taken 10+ shots at least off my game. They give me the confidence to go for my shots.
they have added distance and accuracy to a beginner.

'GREAT IRONS GREAT DISTANCE'
Strengths:
Very forgiving even the 3 iron !!
Go long very long, im a 28 handicapper and have been hitting the 7 iron 170 yds!
Cheaply available
Weaknesses:
Grips are okay,
Shame Wilson are not continuing the Fat shafted deep reds
Overall:
A great set of game improving irons that I would not swap for any other clubs.

Picked up for £225 at my local pro shop, baragins around that price on ebay to.

'explosivley fantastic'
Strengths:
The feel good factor at address, slow the swing down and be amazed at the distance, well made with the look of quality. They have a nice weighty feel about them, I think the weight helps to smooth out the swing a little giving you more confidence at the tee.
Weaknesses:
Loft between P.W and S.W. and trying to remember to club down. And me of-course.
Overall:
For £275 from County Golf Direct, you can`t go wrong, yes not everyone likes fat shafts but give them a go I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how good they are. They would suit beginner to mid handicape I think, They have helped me to take a few shots off my handicap.
