'Too expensive bad fitting noisy'
Strengths:
Waterproof, great guarantee (provided it passes secret manufactures tests) robust very breathable, lightweight.
Weaknesses:
25 year old product. Outer shell is significantly noisier than main competitors. Do not buy it without checking soft feel Footjoy, Ping, Sunderland, Mizuno, Nike. Do not believe pros or shop assistants who tell you that you will get used to it. I buy large in most jackets (42" chest) but I have to get a XXL in this have a nice fit but then the sleeves are too long.
Overall:
Great for climbing mountains or hiking but not for the discerning golfer who wants a quiet jacket that will not interfere with his/her swing. Windstopper is a much better product but not as water proof. GG will make the adjustment to the design and bring down the price if enough people complain.

'ABSOLUTELY THE FINEST WATERPROOFS MONEY CAN BUY'
Strengths:
200% waterproof, superbly designed, exeptionally stylish, good selection of colours, lightweight, compact, soft fabric yet extremely hard wearing.
Weaknesses:
Absolutely nothing whatsoever
Overall:
Without a shadow of a doubt the finest Waterproofs money can buy! These waterproofs will save you dozens of shots in the rain, I hate the rain but have no problems getting out there with the Galvins on! You don't even notice the rain, you are kept warm and dry as a bone.
I have had this jacket for 3 years now and it still performs like it did the first time I put it on, (after 3 years of heavy use in 'not so sunny' Scotland!!!), now THAT'S value for money.
Don't waste your money on supposed 'cheaper' suits, you'll just be miserable, wet and have to replace it after a season! Buy quality...quality that lasts.
