'SOLID PERFORMER'
Strengths:
Easy to hit off the tee. Long and stable. Decent shaft.
Weaknesses:
Sound when hit of the toe is a bit canny. Big head needs a smooth swing when hit of the deck.
Overall:
I've bought one on e-bay for 50 EUR (brand new 3-wood 15dgr s-flex). It replaces my Cobra SZ offset. Much more stable through impact and 25yrds longer. Straight as a bullit. I use as a driver and a Rescue Mid #3 on the longer fairway shots. Great combination.

'PLEASANTLY SUPRISED!'
Strengths:
It is remarkably easy to hit considering the awkward looks and it does goes like stink. The shaft is very stable and gives a lovely trajectory.
Weaknesses:
I was embaressed at first to put it in my bag. The headcover looks like something you would pick up in Sports World. Not to mention the club which has an ugly grey finish coupled with a plain coloured shaft and grip.
Overall:
I only got hold of this club because a little junior bought it in stiff by accident and i had a regular shafted old macgregor club spare. We did a straight swap which both of us dont regret one bit.

'FANTASTIC VALUE AND VERY SOLID CLUBS'
Strengths:
I definately agree with sam hartfield in the review below where he says that these woods are enormous - I have the 7 wood and it is as big as many 5 or 3 woods on the market. However, this is a fantastic benefit from the tee, even with the 7 wood, as the ball launches high and straight with tremendous distance making it a hugely solid club for gaining accuracy. The 7 wood graphite version of the T-40 is also considerably easier to use than most smaller sized fairway woods. It usually makes a solid contact from the fairway too and can prove very useful for chipping from the fringe and around the green.
Weaknesses:
The clubhead is slightly too big and the grips are too thin and smooth and quickly wear out.
Overall:
These are great fairway woods and come astoundingly cheap on the internet now. They are good performers from the tee and the more lofted versions are solid from the fairway too. I recommend these woods to pretty much everyone except those who seek a smaller headed fairway wood or those with very low handicaps (8/9 and under). They are constructed well and look great in the bag with the stylish shiny blue headcover. Very good fairways indeed.

'GOOD PERFORMANCE, GREAT VALUE'
Strengths:
these are extremely cheap with my steel shafted 4 wood costing an amazing £30 brand new. due to its large head and deep face it is perfect for accuracy off the tee when the 'big dog' is misbehaving. lots of weight placed in a tungsten plug at the back of the clubhead ensures a high launch which offers extra playability with a relatively soft landing.
Weaknesses:
the heads on these fairway woods are simply enormous in comparison to other models which makes it good from the tee but difficult to cleanly pick the ball from the fairway. grips are too smooth
Overall:
for the money i did not have high expectations for these woods but the 4 wood has proved a worthy addition to the bag. through months of use the club has retained good looks and seems to be built solidly. i would suggest these to be ideally suited to mid-high handicaps as the big head gives confidence and consistency. also, due to the modern looks and styling younger golfers such as myself may be drawn to them. brilliant woods

'DISAPPOINTING PERFORMER'
Strengths:
Looks good, feels good, practice swings good...
Weaknesses:
...but hits the ball like a wet paper bag.
Overall:
The Nike T-40 Oversize fairway woods are currently on "special offer" in a number of outlets, and I can now understand why.

It's a great looking club, and nicely balanced. It creates confidence at address, and all is well as you draw the club back, but yet....there's something not quite right with this club.

I tried the oversize 3 wood, graphite regular shaft, and the results were very disappointing. The ball seems to trudge off the club face with a dull "thunk", and I couldn't even hit it as far as my Cobra SS 5 wood.

I've heard the steel shafted version is a better club - I can't verify this, but I can confirm that the graphite shafted model is a disappointing effort.

'pleasently suprised'
Strengths:
looks, feel, distance.
Weaknesses:
feel of grip.
Overall:
Have just received this club and went straight to the range. Took my trusty taylor made midsize 3 wood out to compair. Although my 3 wood is donkeys years old it still goes some and is really controlable so was not expecting the same from this Nike 4 wood but boy did this go. the trajectory was quite low, lower than the 3 wood and consistently went around 15-20 yards further off the mat and tee.
The tour version looks really good behind the ball with quite a compact head. The graphite shaft (stiff) looks really nice, black with all the info at the top underneath.
I paid £69.99 it came with the headcover and free post.
From my limited experience with this club I am well chuffed for the cash, its a quality bit of kit.

'STUNNINGLY GOOD WOOD!'
Strengths:
Compact head, nice looks, comfortable
Weaknesses:
None so far
Overall:
Very impressed. I've got the 4 wood 17 degree steel shaft version, got it for £35 from ebay in mint cond with the headcover.

At the range, balls going straight and true - so different to my old dunlop oversize 3 wood - so much better. Knocking around 175-200yrs atm with good flight.

I don't think i'm going to need a driver now, this is so good!

'BARGAIN..................IN MY OPINION'
Strengths:
I guess to be fair I have to say its main strength was its price, (at £50 with a 9 Wood included at the time I purchased) and I suppose to be fair I would say it has taken a little time to get used to it. But once its all said and done I have to say I have for my money a cracking club, which I am now using to great effect, (hitting very straight and very very long.)
Weaknesses:
This has been the only club (I guess I was attracted by the price a little) that I have not tried out before I have purchased. I have recently got a nike NDS set of irons and I was looking for something good looking to put in the old bag next to them. The T40 fairway wood is just that with a stylish look, but it did take a while to get use to, but then that could just be the standard I play at. That said though just as I was about to pass it on to my son, its clicked and now I have a great confidence in it to get me up off the fairway and fly straight.

As for the 9 Wood.........which came free with the 5 Wood....... well my son has pinched that already:{
Overall:
Now I'm used to it I wouldn't be without it really.......a bargain at the price, which allows for long straight hits, of about 180 to 200 yards off the fairway.
