 | | | Posted: 05/01/07 | | 'BETTER THAN THE G5, (I KNOW - I HAD ONE).' | | Strengths: Gets the ball high in the air where it works better. Very forgiving, good centre mark embossed into the paintwork. A good driver for any ability that looks the part. | | Weaknesses: None to date | | Overall: Having moved from an 11 degree Hawkeye VFT to a 10.5 G5 with a pro-launc reg shaft, I thought I had found the ideal 460cc driver. What a disappointment, it was like playing with an 8 degree wood not a 10.5, I play off 21 and tried it for 6 months, even to the point of having a lesson to see what was wrong with my driving (with my VFT I could just point and pull the trigger).
While having a quick look in my club shop one day, I noticed an 11.5 degree G2 with a light reg shaft, took it out for a round and got on fantastic with it, finished the round, walked into the shop and did a straight swop. In fact it's so good I bought the wife one as well. She also gets on great with it. |
