Strengths: Bought 3 for less than £40 each - fantastic value. Nice, traditional shape. Softer feel than my Titleist Vokey and Clevelands (which I've replaced), perhaps because Miz's are forged. Definitely more spin - can now drop the ball on hard summer greens and they hold.
Weaknesses: Wanted a gap wedge as one of my three, but only choices were 51 or 53. Went for 53, but I reckon my pitching wedge is 47, so not ideal. Yet, 53 is great for shots where you need the ball to fly some 10 yards and then run to the hole.
Overall: Since you can't try wedges in advance (unless friend has one in his/her bag), always a risk to buy. So glad I did with these. Excellent clubs. Some may prefer the R series with special sole grinding, but the traditional shape of the T series seems perfect for me.
Overall: I have had lob wedges in the past and as a poor player have struggled for consistency but this club has been one of the safest in my bag since i bought it - Excellent
Strengths: They do what you want it really is that simple
Weaknesses: Not a weakness but they will probably feel a liitle heavy in the head but that soon goes when you commit to your shots
Overall: They work fantastically well and allow you play any wedge shot with confidence. I tested Vokeys and they where great but I opted for the 56 & 60 mizuno and Iam over the moon
'At this price and for this quality it's a must have in a bag'
Strengths: Mizuno has spent years building a reputation for crafting the most sought after forged clubs and they've done it again with these wedges.
If they were a car, they would be an Aston martin DB9 - exceptional to look at, magnificently forged and not too ostentacious and no over the top branding.
A fine piece of engineering.
Weaknesses: I recognise that the gorgeous bronzed finish was going to come off but I wasn't expecting it to disappear quite so quickly. This bronze colour is so lovely that I would like to see a more permanent covering on all part of the head apart from the grooved area which is designed to rust.
This is a small and very personal cosmetic point but does in no way alter the performance of this most wonderful club.
Overall: Off the shelf you witness what has to be the most magnificent coloured and beautifully shaped wedges money can buy.
To complement these wonderful asthetics is a wedge which is weighted just right; at every stage during the swing you know where the club head is.
Overall, a confidence inspiring club that just begs to be hit. Put a good swing on the end of one and you can't help but be impressed.
Strengths: Well balanced, good weight in the head without being too heavy. Sits nicely at address and in the hands and looks very good. And it does the business. I purchased the 60 degree black nickel wedge because I was previously using my sand iron for chips near the green - and often fluffing shots. With the Mizuno wedge I've far more control over my shots - and I'm getting nearer the pin. It might be worth checking to see which bounce version you need. I chose the 05, but others are available.
Weaknesses: I've used this for just three rounds of golf to date, and it's yet to be tested in wet or winter conditions. But so far, I've found no weaknesses.
Overall: It isn't the cheapest of wedges, but well worth the money. Very glad I bought it.
Overall: Just one of the loveliest wedges you can buy. I've been using a Titleist Vokey for the last couple of years and these just feel so much nicer.
