'DANGEROUS LONG'
Strengths:
The new Callaway HX Hot Bites are so long they should be illegal.
Weaknesses:
They have green markings. Weird color but you can get used to it.
Overall:
These balls fly high, fly long, and fly straight. Very durable and good around the greens. Priced right. Would consider these a bargain.

'DON'T BOTHER.THERE ARE BETTER BALLS FOR LESS MONEY AVAILABLE'
Strengths:
ummmmm..... ??? In truth none that I can think of.
Weaknesses:
Similar feel to the old Topflight XL's . Hatefull balls to putt and chip with.
Overall:
Considering these balls are targetting the busy and well represented mid market ball it fails abismally. Long off the tee ? Nope, the Pinnacle Exception, Srixon AD333, Big Bertha red and Blue are all longer with way more feel. These things are like putting rocks and chipping conkers. Give these a wide "berth" if I were you.

'FABULOUS PERFORMANCE'
Strengths:
These balls are long off the tee and spin nearly as much as a Pro V1. What more do you want?!
Weaknesses:
Only that they have "Callaway" printed on them.
Overall:
As good as any premium ball, longer than most, durable, inexpensive.

'EXCELLENT '
Strengths:
Really long off the tee. 10 - 20 yards longer than Titleist NXT Tour
Weaknesses:
None that I`ve noticed
Overall:
A good ball for mid-handicappers. Great distance, stops well on greens, better than the Big Bertha Red

'Good, not great'
Strengths:
Fairly long.
Weaknesses:
Very hard to get any spin with.
Hard outer layer.
Price.
Overall:
This is I suppose the upgrade to the big berha red, it is suppossed to be longer but with little spin still.

It is slightly longer but not that much. Not £3 per dozen longer and you still cannot stop this ball on a green.

I would say buy the big bertha red at £16.99 per box it is about the same as the HX Hot.

'NOT HOT'
Strengths:
Durable, didn't scuff easily, Little spin made it easy off the driver with plenty roll.
Weaknesses:
Not as long off the tee as some others I have been testing recently. Difficult to control around green perhaps too much roll which left a chip back onto the green.
Overall:
Lost more strokes around the green than gained from slight extra distance with the extra roll. If your looking for a ball that will give a little more distance or you are always short of the green then this would be great, for me however trying to get the ball to stay on the green was too much of challenge.

'GOES MILES'
Strengths:
Great distance, 20-30 yards better than Wilsons, Top flite or Noodles.

My shots are a lot longer and straighter with this ball. Also great in the wind and very durable
Weaknesses:
Does lack some spin as a trade off for distance.
Overall:
A great ball for the average high hadndicaper who wants a lot more distance whilst sacrificing some spin on the greens.

'Nice Box'
Strengths:
Long off the club face
Weaknesses:
Scuffs very quickly and the Callaway print on the ball starts to wear within a hole or two.
Overall:
Quite disappointed overall, although they did fire a long way off the club face and I had absolutely no problem getting them to stop on the green I found the general quality quite poor. I don't expect to change my ball every second hole because it is deteriorating, especially at the price of them. I get better longevity and equal distance from my Noodles.

'QUITE LONG'
Strengths:
These are long, especially with woods, and also fairly soft for distance balls.
Weaknesses:
Scuff far too easily and don't spin much as a sacrifice to distance.
Overall:
They're good, but not great. For the price they are, they shouldn't scuff or cut so easily. They spin little, but you don't expect much spin from distance balls. The surprising thing is they're very long, but fairly soft. If they were more durable, they would be a MUCH better ball.

'I LIKE THEM!'
Strengths:
Quite hard, so good distance off the tee. Should be good when windy.

Great to putt with, nice hard feel, which makes judging putts easier.
Weaknesses:
Not much spin, but on softer winter greens, does it really matter?
Overall:
Played one of my best Back 9s (40) using it. Provided awesome distance off well-struck tee shots and stopped fairly well around the greens. I also putted really well with the HX Hot, because the hard feel allowed me to judge putting distances easier.

I would recommend it for winter use for Low-Mid Handicappers. Possibly a good ball for all year round usage from Mid Handicappers who like good distance balls (like me).

Overall, a good performing ball.
