'FORGET THE PRO V1 THESE ARE BETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! '
Strengths:
Very long off the tee and they stop and back up even on hard summer greens. They also run true off the putter.
Great in the wind which i need playing a moorland course.
Will last 18 hole without too much scuffing
Weaknesses:
NONE ZERO NOT ONE
People have said they are expensive but the can be bought for less than £20 thats less than £20 a dozen from eBay.
Overall:
At last a worthy replacement for the Maxfli A10. Longer than a PRO V1x with more control than a PRO V1 what more can you ask for.

Get on eBay and buy as many as you can !!!!!!!!!!!

'DOES IT ALL AND THEN SOME'
Strengths:
Good distance, has low spin off driver and long irons and won't turn a fade into a slice (well, not all the time).
Tons of spin on mid and short irons and ploughs back with wedges
Has a very nice feel on the greens and putts very well
Weaknesses:
Can shed some skin off wedges - even skinned one with a 3-iron.
Loses that "brand new" look after a couple of hits, but fairly durable. Just that it will look used after being hit once. Still way to expensive
Overall:
A very good option to the almighty Pro V1
Has better spin characteristics than the new Pro V1
Top quality ball, easily lives up to the expectations of most.
Don't know about a Pro V1 killer, but it's certainly in the same league - I definitely prefer it

Strengths:
Best ball have hit for medium swing speed players, flies well off the club then keeps going , good brakes too, doesnt feel like a pebble like as equivilant top end distance balls Pro V1x Callaway etc
Weaknesses:
Getting holf of them!
Overall:
Best golf ball I have played with.

'BRILLIANT BALL FROM AN UNEXPECTED SOURCE'
Strengths:
Long distance off the tee
Crisp feel off the wedge
Firm feel from White steel putter
Weaknesses:
Brand image
Overall:
This ball is everything I need in a golf ball. When I have heard about golfers finding the ball just right for them, I thought I was using the best ball. I know now what a difference it can make. I would never normally choose Maxfli as a brand, but I can't explain how much you need to give a sleeve of three of these balls a go.

'WATCH OUT PRO V1 '
Strengths:
Very durable ball that feels solid off the tee whilst has good control from wedges and round the green.
Weaknesses:
Price
Overall:
I played this ball along with a Pro V1. I found that the BM and Pro V are very similar in the distance and control with the BM being the longer of the 2 in my opinion.

I will probably be the first and last to say this but I think the Pro V may about to be toppled as the ultimate ball on the market.

'A great balance between distance and feel'
Strengths:
Crisp feel off the clubface without feeling hard. Good spin on greens... seems pretty easy to get the ball to grab on the second bounce. Holds a good line on putts (I holed half a dozen putts between 7 and 12ft in my first round with this ball... shot a gross 71 off the yellow tees)
Weaknesses:
Forty quid for a dozen...(bought mine off eBay for a tenner less than this). Maxfli brand image perhaps not quite up to that of Titleist.
Overall:
Superb golf ball... I can well believe Maxfli's claims that this could be the ProV1 killer and would be great value at £30 a dozen... £40 however is a lot to pay for any ball.

'DRIVER UPGRADE NOT REQUIRED'
Strengths:
Very long
Good flight trajectory
Enough spin to be valuable to low handicaps
More durable than 2005 Pro V1
Weaknesses:
Brand image
Overall:
This ball was such a surprise, long but stops. If these balls get in to shops at a good price it will be a real alternative to the Pro V range of balls.

'NOT A PRO V1 KILLER'
Strengths:
Good all round ball
Long and spins well
Weaknesses:
A little harder than the Pro V1
Overall:
I use Mizuno Pro II irons and found this ball harder than the Pro V1 but similar ball trajectory and shot results therefore I personally would only use if the price differential was in the favour of the Maxfli (which it isn't)

'A NEW KID ON THE PRO V1'S BLOCK'
Strengths:
Driver distance is exceptional. The ball rockets off the face on a strong trajectory and with an authoritative feel. After a few tee shots I was full of confidence.
Despite feeling quite solid, the ball has an excellent touch around the greens. I tried the BlackMAX on a dry course with hard greens and had no problem controlling short shots generating plenty of spin.
The ball also has a good feel off the putter face and is not at all jumpy.
The ball lasted all 18 holes - which is another good thing! - and it looked almost as good as new. My Black Ox wedges like to get their teeth into balls and despite several shots with my sand and lob wedges, the ball has few marks.
Weaknesses:
In terms of performance, the BlackMAX has no weaknesses. It is a very, very good ball.
Its only weakness is the brand name and the exceptionally competitve market in which it is placed. Will golfers go for a Maxfli over the ever-popular Titleist?
Overall:
I was very pleasantly surprised by this ball. I am a devout fan of the Pro V1 and rarely use anything else. Recently I've experimented with the Pro V1x and the Callaway HX Tour but they are slightly too hard for the bouncy heathland course I play. I thought the BlackMAX would fall into the same category but I was proven wrong on the very first hole when a flop shot over a bunker to a tight pin jumped to a halt on its second bounce. Full iron shots to the greens also held well.
But it is off the tee where I think the BlackMAX scores particularly highly and I'm looking forward to using it again. Will I buy it over the Pro V1? I'll have to lose them first before I make that decision, but this is a serious contender.
It will be interesting to see whether Taylor Made trust this ball enough to throw their full marketing weight behind the Maxfli brand. If they do I think the BlackMAX has every chance of taking a large chunk of the Pro V1's market.
You really must give this ball a try.

'MAXFLI HAVE GOT A RESULT!'
Strengths:
Distance equal to the Pro V1 and better feel.
Weaknesses:
None, other than that shared with the Pro V1 ...the price.
Overall:
Maxfli have produced in the Black Max a ball which will compete with the Pro V1 on distance, with the added bonus of softer feel around the greens.
