RORY MCILROY has won the last two tournaments he entered and they just so happened to be the Open and the WGC Bridgestone Invitational which means he is the overwhelming favourite to win at Valhalla this week in the PGA Championship.

We've all been marveling at the Northern Irishman's game over the last couple of weeks and one area in particular - off the tee.

At only 5 ft 10 in, the 25-year-old belies his height and is the third longest on the PGA Tour this year, averaging 310.3 yards. This was evident during the Scottish Open, we saw him hit a ridiculous 436 yard drive.

But what is the secret to his power and length? Why do we struggle to hit it 250 yards when swinging out of our shoes while Rory flies it over 300 with consummate ease?

Well, this video took a scientific look at Rory's swing and aims to gives some answers.
