LIV Golf have finally announced the venue for their 2024 individual championship.

That announcement came on 30 April, a few days before the breakaway tour staged their seventh event of the season in Singapore

Bolingbrook Golf Club will host the $50m individual championship over 13-15 September, and the results will determine the seeds for the team championship a week later.

That venue is still TBD.

If you didn't know, Bolingbrook is a public track located approximately 30 miles outside of Chicago.

The 7,104-yard layout was designed by Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest and it features a 'true island green par-3' and a par-5 that Bryson DeChambeau might struggle to reach in two hits.

You can play if for as little as 50 bucks.

Images have been circulating showing the property a little bit run down.

No sooner was the news announced did a number of golf fans on X start offering up their thoughts.

The reaction? Well, it was certainly interesting.

Here's a selection of comments:

"Hopefully they scored the Golf Now Hot deal and saved a few bucks."

"Embarrassing. LIV is a colossal failure."

"The story is as old as time. Get denied by elite privates, jump on Golf Now and book a 'Hot Deal' tee time for the boys."

"If this course was on @Yelp it would have two stars."

"Looks like a lot of winning by Greg."

"Now you can see how the pros can play on a course everyone can afford."

"Looks like Augusta compared to the goat ranch they played in Tulsa."

"It's a fun course, played it twice last year - but for professional golf this will be a joke. Nobody should be over par in my opinion."

Talor Gooch was LIV's individual champion in 2023.

Gooch scooped the top prize of $18,000,000 at the event that was staged in Saudi Arabia.

Dustin Johnson was LIV's inaugural champion in 2022.

As we approach the halfway stage of LIV's third season, Joaquin Niemann leads the way.

Their marquee signing, Jon Rahm, is second in the rankings.
