Jordan Spieth's missed cut involved most Jordan Spieth thing ever

Jordan Spieth crashed out of the CJ Cup Byron Nelson on the PGA Tour and it involved an hilarious moment that will surprise precisely nobody.

Jordan Spieth struck his tee shot then asked a relatable question.

Get lucky, please?

Those words have fallen out of Spieth's mouth on quite a few occasions this year as - let's be honest - his form has been all over the place on the PGA Tour

On this occasion, Spieth was playing the second round of the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and needed a late charge to make the weekend.

Unfortunately, Spieth came up short and missed the cut by two shots.

But you can't say he wasn't given ample chance to play more than 36 holes after he was given an all-time stroke of luck at TPC Craig Ranch's 16th, courtesy of this gentleman's elbow.

Spieth blocked a drive right and immediately used his driver to point towards a group of spectators sat under a tree whilst shouting 'fore'.

His golf ball ultimately came to rest in the middle of the fairway and not because it clattered a tree or a cart path, but because it cannoned off this chap's elbow.

The best thing about this exchange was the poor dude was absolutely delighted about it.

"Spieth's the best, you're my hero," he said.

You won't be at all surprised to here this is not the first time something like this has happened to Spieth.

He did the same at the 2023 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass but on that occasion he struck a spectator's knee on his way to just about making the cut.

It's all part of the Jordan Spieth viewing experience.

Here, Spieth three-putted the 16th green for a bogey and his race, unfortunately for his hometown Dallas crowd, was run.

At the halfway stage, Jake Knapp held the lead by one stroke from Troy Merritt and England's Matt Wallace.

English amateur Kris Kim, 16, posted a second round 67 to reach a seven-under total and make the cut.
