Long, smooth stroke

There’s a direct correlation between bunker play and driving distance – the more you practice in the sand, the further you’ll hit.

This is because it aids rhythm, which is important in the sand. Go for a smooth, languid swing that accelerates through the ball. A short jab will get you nowhere - other than back in the sand.
