Sweden's big-hitting Henrik Stenson, the player who will always be acknowledged as the one who holed the putt that won the 2006 Ryder Cup for Europe, has signed up to play Srixon clubs and balls.

Currently ranked World No.12, after winning the Qatar Masters and BMW International in Europe and finishing third in the PGA Tour's flagship Tournament Players Championship at Sawgrass, the 30-year-old joins World No.2 Jim Furyk on the Srixon Tour staff.

As well as the Z-UR ball, Stenson will play Srixon i-506 irons and wear the brand's caps and gloves, starting at this week's Nedbank Challenge in southern Africa.

Stenson’s career has gone from strength to strength since representing Sweden in the Eisenhower Trophy in 1998 and turning pro with a handicap of +4.He topped the European Challenge Tour Rankings in 2000 and won the Benson and Hedges International in 2004 at the De Vere Belfry.

In 2005, the Dubai based player, had a string of high placed finishes in Europe and climbing to 8th in the Order of Merit and was leading points scorer in the Seve Trophy in Newcastle.
