Numerous legendary golfers have said the modern golf ball is travelling too far – including Tiger Woods – and now the first ball manufacturer is agreeing.

Bridgestone Golf President Angel Ilagan agrees with Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman and Gary Player on the issue.

"As it relates to the Tour...there needs to be something to standardise [the ball] because the guys are hitting it way too long," Ilagen told Golf.com.

"I think there is an option to have a ball that is played on Tour, and a ball that is played casually."

Woods is a Bridgestone ball staffer, with the 14-time major champion signing with them last year to play the Tour B 330 S ball, now called the Tour B XS.
