Patrick Reed's mixed bag of golf equipment has been taken up a notch after it's come to light on social media that the Masters champion has switched to play Mizuno MP-18 irons.
Reed, who won his maiden major title at The Masters in April, had previously been using Callaway 2013 X Forged and MB1 irons for some time - even despite terminating his contract with Callaway at the end of last season.
Golf Pride's Twitter accidentally gave the game away when they posted an image of Reed's new MCC grips, while also displaying a close up image of an Mizuno MP-18 iron with 'PR' stamped on it. See below...
Reed joins a number of other Nike Golf athletes out of contract to play Mizuno irons in 2018 - none bigger than three-time major winner Brooks Koepka, who successfully defended his US Open title in June before going to land the US PGA. England's Paul Casey is another big-name player to have made the switch to Mizuno irons.
Reed currently plays with a PING G400 LST driver, Nike VR Pro Ltd fairway wood, Titleist 716 T-MB utility, Mizuno MP-18 irons, Artisan and Vokey wedges, Odyssey White Hot Pro 3 putter and a Titleist Pro V1 golf ball.
We'll have more information on Reed's bag in the coming days and weeks.
