Jordan Spieth's rare Titleist driver and fairway wood switch lasted all of one week.
Two weeks ago, we brought you news that Spieth was replacing his trusted Titleist 915 D2 driver and 915 F2 fairway wood of more than four years, with the company's newly-launched TS2 driver and 3-wood.
After a disappointing tie for 55th when first putting the new clubs in play at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Spieth reverted back to his older driver and fairway wood.
According to PGA Tour equipment guru Jonathan Wall, the three-time major champion still needs more time to test out the TS2 driver and 3-wood...
As expected, Jordan Spieth went back to Titleist 915D2 and 915F2 this week. Said last week in Vegas that he needs to do more work on TS2. pic.twitter.com/eQyfRNH1j4— Jonathan Wall (@jonathanrwall) November 8, 2018
Sadly for Spieth, the change back to his older setup proved even more disappointing with a missed cut at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico last week, following rounds of 71 and 69.
